- Born in Ottawa, he was educated at University of Ottawa and joined the banking industry. He was working with Union Bank in Rockland where he met Amy Turner. They married in 1916 in Ottawa. He joined Banque National Canada in Ottawa. In the '20s he was transferred to the bank's operations in Northern Ontario, first in Ville Marie and then Cochrane. He contracted tuberculosis and returned to Ottawa. He was admitted to the Ottawa Sanitarium. After his condition continued to deteriorate, he decided to recuperate at the cottage at Aylen Lake. He died there in July 1929 at the age of 29 years. He was buried at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ottawa.
