  Notes	Marjory was the first chronicler of the Turner family with her seminal work "Our Loyalist Ancestors: Kith and Kin of Holden Turner", published in 1975. Obituary: Venice Gondolier Sun (FL) - Wednesday, August 9, 2006 Marjory M. Waters, 82, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006. She was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to John and Frances Turner McGillivray. Mrs. Waters was the vice president at Stamford Design Company in Darien, Conn. She moved to the Port Charlotte area in 1983. Mrs. Waters was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda, Fla., where she was an elder and deaconess. She also was a member of the Lakewood Village Association and the former Punta Gorda Country Club. Mrs. Waters is survived by her loving daughters, Dr. Frances (Joseph) Griffis of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Dr. Susan (Neil) Richards of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; six grandchildren, James O'Daniel, Catherine O'Daniel, Nancy (Mike) Zimmer, Sharon (Jason Fearon) O'Daniel, David Richards and Michael Richards; two great-grandchildren, Burke and Marjorie Zimmer; and brother-in-law, Charles Derrick of Port Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A.R. Waters, who passed away March 28, 2005. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda. The family suggests memorial donations be made to First Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda, New Sanctuary Fund, 25250 Airport Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 Arrangements are by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cremation Services and Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Punta Gorda.
